I write sapphic fiction because I’m interested in the moments before desire comes to fruition. The thoughts that show up intrusively and pull at you before you have a chance for solid footing. That space feels familiar to me, and it’s where my stories tend to live.
I’m a lesbian, and these books are written from inside that experience. The relationships on the page are rooted in women loving women, shaped by longing, restraint, and emotional intimacy that feels lived in rather than performed. The intimacy isn’t watched from the outside. It’s experienced from within the characters as they move toward each other, hesitate, and sometimes resist what they already want.
For nearly a decade, I've written privately. I've taught myself how to stay inside a character’s interior world long enough for her thoughts to feel real. I was more interested in understanding how desire builds than in finishing something quickly. When I began sharing my work, it was because I wanted stories that moved slower and trusted the reader to stay with them.
I write for readers who like stories that take their time. For women who notice small shifts, who care about pacing, and who want stories that happen to be sapphic rather than stories that explain themselves. If that sounds like you, you’re who I’m writing for.
